The Indigo Drift

The Indigo Drift is a collaborative improvisation project built on trust, listening, and spontaneous arrangement. Saxophone, keys, bass, and drums lead the core sound, with violin appearing when the session asks for a new texture. Sometimes we begin with a specific idea, like a key signature, a time signature, or a simple motif, then let the piece unfold naturally from there. Alongside the band material, I am also developing solo releases that lean into melodic, cinematic, and electronic moods.

Some sessions begin with only a mood, while others start with a clear musical anchor like a key signature, time signature, or short motif. From there, we follow the energy in the room and shape each track in real time. Some pieces stay minimal and spacious, while others grow into layered rhythmic movement. Alongside the band work, I am also building a parallel set of solo projects that are more listener-first and mood-driven. Expect warm synth textures, reflective late-night tones, and occasional upbeat grooves. Together, these releases reflect two sides of the same approach: collective exploration with the band, and more personal storytelling in solo form.
