By accessing or using the Tortal in-browser shell (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Use of the Service
- Permitted Use: Use built-in commands (e.g.,
curl
,ls
,export
) for personal, educational, or development purposes within your browser. - At Your Own Risk: All operations run client-side. You are responsible for ensuring legal and network compliance when using features such as
curl
to fetch external URLs.
3. Prohibited Conduct
- Downloading or distributing content in violation of copyright or other laws.
- Excessive or abusive
curl
requests that may overload external servers or CORS proxies. - Unauthorized scanning or probing of networks or systems.
- Executing or distributing malware, exploits, or malicious scripts.
- Violating the terms of use of any third-party site or API.
4. Rate Limiting & Abuse
The curl
command uses a public CORS proxy (AllOrigins). Abide by reasonable rate limits of that service.
Excessive use may result in temporary or permanent blocking of proxy access or shell functionality.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. I DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOUR USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
6. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL I, AS THE INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPER, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
7. Termination
I reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these terms or abusive behavior, without notice.
8. Changes to Terms
I may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will appear here with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of my jurisdiction as an individual developer, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
